GOSFORD HOBBIES War Games League

If you're into war games, Gosford Hobbies is not only the number one place on the Central Coast to purchase miniatures and all the accessories to put your army onto the front line of the battleground, but is also the place to wage war on fellow gamers with our very own War Games League. We've put aside an exclusive war room out the back of Gosford Hobbies that will comfortably hold 30 players around several different tables where you can enjoy Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40,000 or the official Lord of the Rings Strategy Game on pre-built scenery boards.

If you're only a beginner, don't worry! We can help you marshal your troops for a better result on the battlefield. Every Saturday from 11am we hold beginner's lessons in Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000 so you can learn the basics or hone your burgeoning skills as a general. Cost is just $10.

Once you've masterd the basics and want to pit your skills against new adversaries or old friends, then you can join the War Games League which holds games every first and third Saturday of the month playing Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000, and every other week playing Lord of the Rings. All ages are invited to let slip the dogs of war over a tournament that can last up to four months for just $10 entry and $2 a week. All money raised goes back to the club.

At the end of the League are the playoffs and the grand final battle where the two leading players will duel it out for $50 of Games Workshop products and the glory of being the best of the best!

Best of all, the room is also available for use to members and game players during normal shop hours. If you are a member of the War Games League the cost is just $2 while non-members pay $5. If you ever just want to have a casual game with a friend but need somewhere to deploy your forces, then this is the place!
